Former Sunderland football stars help Bradley’s fight with charity event

Two former footballers will appear at a charity evening in association with SAFC Museum in aid of Bradley Lowery, an East Durham toddler who has been battling a rare Cancer for most of his life so far.

Bradley, now 5, was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma at the age of 2. He battled with his illness for over 2 years until he was successfully cleared of the Cancer.

Sadly, earlier this month, it was announced that the toddler had relapsed and has been re-diagnosed.

Now, funds to help Bradley in his fight against Neuroblastoma are needed more than ever.

Bradley’s Blackhall family are raising £700,000 for treatment in America that could buy antibody therapy and drugs to prevent his illness from returning again, or a type of chemotherapy not available in the UK.

The event, An Evening With Darren Williams and Darren Holloway, will see the two former SAFC stars come together to help raise much needed funds. The evening will be hosted by North East Football Show’s Les Langley and will include raffles, auctions and photo opportunities with the stars.

It will be held at Peterlee’s Moorcock pub on Saturday 3rd September from 7pm. Tickets cost £10 and can be purchased from the venue or on 07918979118.
