A Peterlee family firm was star struck at the weekend when a famous face dropped by for a bite to eat.
Mark Addy, who hails from York and played Dave Horsefall in the 1997 comedy The Full Monty, paid a visit to the firm’s ‘horsebox’ takeaway on Sunday, 29 January.
Charltons, whose main businesses are based at Lister Road on Peterlee Business Park and on Seaham’s Spectrum Business Park, is run by brothers Michael and Steven Charlton along with Michael’s wife Alison.
The Charltons team took to their Facebook page to document the actor’s visit.
Michael Charlton told East Durham news: “In Summer 2015 we started trading in North Cave, East Yorkshire, in a layby close by to Market Weighton, which is where Mark lives. He’s popped by a couple of times for some food.
“He likes our black pudding sausages.”
Mark Addy has also starred in TV shows such as Trollied, The Thin Blue Line and global smash hit Game Of Thrones.
