Peterlee company director signs up for CEO Sleepout

Peterlee training specialist KF Training is supporting an event to raise funds for homeless charities across the country.

KFT’s commercial director Sara O’Brien has signed up to take part in the CEO Sleepout in Newcastle.

CEO Sleepout is held in towns and cities across the country to help raise vital funds for charities which fight homelessness, and has so far boosted good causes to the tune of £1m.

Sara said: “Homelessness is a huge problem in this country so I’m pleased to be giving my support to this great event to increase awareness of it and raise funds to fight it.

“It’ll be a real eye opener for everyone taking part to swap their home comforts for a night sleeping rough, but it’s so important that we do everything we can to help tackle this important issue.

“If any of my friends, colleagues and business contacts are able to support me to help raise funds for this fantastic cause then that would be great.”

Last year business executives taking part helped raise over £80,000, making the Newcastle CEO Sleepout the largest outside London.

The Newcastle event, which is organised by the Newcastle United Foundation, is taking place on Thursday, March 9, at St James Park and Newcastle United Managing Director Lee Charnley will also take part.

Funds raised during the sponsored sleepout will be split between Newcastle United Foundation, Changing Lives and CEO Sleepout UK.
