A school pupil from Peterlee has wowed judges and viewers as she performed on the The Voice Kids.
Twelve-year-old Courtney Hadwin, who goes to Shotton Hall Academy, gave a stunning performance of Tina Turner’s Nutbush City Limits during her Blind Audition on the hit Saturday night show.
As she started singing host Emma Willis turned to Courtney’s family backstage and exclaimed “she’s amazing!” while judge Danny Jones was dancing away in his seat before hitting the button and turning his chair around.
Fellow judges Will.I.Am and Pixie Lott, while not following suit by turning their chairs, were clearly impressed, with Will getting Courtney to perform a bit of the song again so he could check out her dance moves.
Now on Team Danny, Courtney will be back in action in the Battle Rounds.
