The North East leading engineering and manufacturing event is now just two weeks away.
Durham Oktoberfest takes place on Thursday, October 19, at the Xcel Centre in Newton Aycliffe and companies across East Durham are exhibiting.
The event is now in its 10th year and is a proven platform to winning new business.
And visitor registration is now open with up to 1,000 delegates expected to attend.
David Land, Chairman of County Durham Engineering and Manufacturing Network, which organises Durham Oktoberfest, said: “Durham Oktoberfest is the perfect platform to showcase the North East’s vast capabilities within the engineering and manufacturing sectors.
“But more than that, it offers businesses the chance to meet potential buyers, suppliers and customers which we know can and does lead to work.
“Just recently we revealed that logistics company Stiller had secured a six-figure contract with Marmax Products as a direct result of attending last year’s event. And they’re one of many businesses who have seen their portfolio grow from being part of our event.”
Gold sponsors include Business Durham and Stadler while Nigel Wright Recruitment is an associate partner.
The itinerary for the event so far includes:
- 100 exhibitors from across the region and beyond
- University Of Sunderland’s AMAP Forum
- CDEMN’s Industry Leaders Q&A Panel Discussion
- Department for International Trade (DIT) export session
- Rail Alliance session – opportunities within the rail sector
