Share your Christmas tree photos as we celebrate the festive period

Christmas is almost upon us and to celebrate the festive period we want you to share your tree pictures with us.

There is no prize to be won – however there is major kudos to whoever we think has the best one.

East Durham News editor Leanne English said: “This little competition is just a bit of fun – we’re seeing so many lovely pictures on social media we thought it would be nice to get everyone involved.

“Every day between now and Christmas we’ll share the pictures on our site and give credit to the ones we think are best. It’s a celebration and we hope you all come on board with it.

“Of course, we’re also open to anyone willing to share their not so good trees with us – if anyone remembers the debarcal of Peterlee’s town centre Christmas tree, which was voted the worst in the country, they’ll know they’ll have to go some to beat that!”

To get involved email your pictures to leanne@lecc.co.uk or post via the East Durham News Facebook and Twitter pages.
