The mum of poorly Bradley Lowery has taken to social media to pleed for donations to help save her little boy following his relapse.
Gemma Lowery needs to raise £700,000 so that five-year-old Bradley can receive cancer treatment not available in the UK.
She recently told Mirror.co.uk: “It’s heartbreaking that we have to put a price on our child’s head.”
“He said to me ‘it’s okay mummy – I’m going to kick cancer’s butt again’.”
After being given the all-clear in December 2014, Bradley’s family was given the devastating news of his relapse in July this year.
In a recent photo of the toddler, Gemma posted on Facebook yesterday: “Bradley is in a lot of pain where his tumour is.
“Please pray for my baby that it isn’t growing because that means chemo is not working.”
Using the social media hashtag, #JustOnePound, Gemma and her husband Carl, of Blackhall Colliery, are asking for small donations that can help make a massive difference.
By donating ‘just one pound’, and sharing Bradley’s story on social media so that others can do the same, you can help too.
Gemma added: “There are 2.6 million people living in the North East – we only need 400,000 of them to donate £1”.
So far, Bradley’s main Virgin Money Giving page has received a total of over £291,500 in donations. A separate page for the #JustOnePound campaign has raised a further £9,950 to date.
