Clean up operation comes to Horden

A community clean up starts in Horden this week.

Organised by Helping Hands, a gardening company based in the town, the operation is running alongside County Durham’s Bring Spring Clean Up campaign.

The clean up is taking place on Wednesday, February 14, from 10am, and people taking part are meeting at Horden Social Welfare Club.

Darren Meadows is manager of Helping Hands. He said: “We will be joined by Ron Hogg, Durham Police, Crime and Victims’ Commissioner, and we will also be working in partnership with Horden Young Citizen Projects, Horden Hub House, Horden Parish Council, Horden Regeneration Partnership, Durham County Council, Coalfield Regeneration Trust and Keepmoat Homes.”
