Easington teenager Molly Scott overcame the biggest challenge of her life to make it through to the X Factor Live Shows.
Molly, 16, was one of six young singers who were given the mammoth task of performing at Simon Cowell’s Malibu house, in front of 50 invited guests from the music industry.
Molly, who was first to perform, was faced with a who’s who audience including acclaimed song writer Diane Warren, Paula Abdul, Randy Jackson, Ryan Seacrest, Babyface and former X Factor winner Leona Lewis.
In last night’s episode, Simon asked Abdul and Jackson to help him whittle down the hopefuls at the Judges’ Houses stage – with Molly, Bella Penfold, Shan and Scarlett Lee making the cut.
Molly’s friend Michelle Banks, also from Easington, said on Facebook: “Woooohoooooooo you’re doing this for real Molly Louise Scott, you deserve it so much and you are making everyone so so proud of you gorgeous girl! I cannot wait to see you perform and you can do it , you can win this.”
Molly will begin her challenge to be crowned this year’s X Factor winner when the live shows start in a couple of weeks.
