Seaham employer supports staff to kick the habit

A Seaham company has launched a month-long campaign to help its employees give up smoking for good.

Spectrum Business Park-based Great Annual Savings Group is supporting its staff to kick the habit, and tomorrow has organised for a Smoke Free Life bus to come onto site.

The bus will be available for two hours, with advice available to help people give up smoking.

Ricky Mingle is Great Annual Savings Group’s Engagement Manager. He said: “We are committed to supporting our staff to improve their health and wellbeing and as part of that I am running a month long stop smoking campaign throughout October encouraging members of staff to give up smoking for 28 days.

“As part of this, I have arranged for a Smoke Free Life bus to come onsite tomorrow from 11-1. The bus will be parked in the layby between Spectrum 5 and Spectrum 6 to give advice for people who want help to quit smoking or for people they know who want to quit.”
